Here is a fascinating blog post about Vodka from Eric Asimov, the NYT wine critic. Looks like I can go back to buying Smirnoff, and save my money for expensive Scotches, which actually taste different.

Ah, another scotch fan. Last time Scott W. came out to visit he and Ry4an bonded over really stinky scotches. I'm sure Ry4an will stock the bar well with some at the wedding.
Is there a whiskey equivalent of Heineken to get me started?
